West Indies team to play against Afghanistan in India
After the 2 months rest from international cricket, The West Indies team will be seen back in action in India to play against Afghanistan national cricket team at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. The series will witness 3 T20s, 3 ODIs, and 1 Test match.
Team India visited the West Indies cricket team in August and whitewashed the hosts in T20I and Test series and won the ODI series by 2-0. The West Indies player then played the CPL T20 league and the players who stared in the league also got maiden WI call-ups.
The players who got maiden call-ups are Brandon King, Hayden Walsh Jr. They both have performed outstandingly and hence achieved the call up to play for the National team. Many IPL franchises are also keeping an eye on these players performance for the IPL 2020 Auction which is going to held on 19th December and along with that franchises will also focus on upcoming South Africa national cricket teamT20 tournament Mzansi Super League 2019.
The Afghanistan skipper has cleared that the players will play smart cricket with the Afghani power. The skipper said, "We are not big in size but we hit big sixes. We have the Afghani power and this boundary will also be small for us. But we will have to play smart cricket and not focus much on big shots. Because on such big ground, you have to play smart cricket,".
The series will get started from November 6 with the ODI series being played firstly.
